Day 1. BUCHAREST

Arrival at Bucharest airport. Welcome and reception at the information office (Henry Coanda airport) and transfer to the city. Known for its wide, tree-lined avenues, magnificent Belle Époque buildings, and reputation for high living, which in the 1900s earned it the nickname “Little Paris”, Bucharest, the capital and largest city of Romania, is today a lively city. Day 2. BUCHAREST – SIBIU – AVRIG (Sibiu County)

Breakfast. Departure to the Olt Valley towards Sibiu and Avrig. Lunch. Brukenthal Palace in Avrig is the historic jewel of the Transylvanian Baroque style. The previous summer residence of Samuel von Brukenthal inspired by the Viennese architecture,was built in Baroque style after the model of the Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna. Accommodation in Avrig.
Day 3. AVRIG – SIBIU surroundings – AVRIG

Breakfast. Visit Sibiu- european cultural capital in 2007. People notice when visiting Sibiu its medieval charm with its towers, colorful houses, fortified churches, stairs and narrow passages. Sibiu, also known as Hermannstadt, is one of the seven walled citadels built by German settlers in Transylvania in the 12th century.
Near Sibiu are beautiful Saxon villages in Marginimea Sibiului, located at the bottom of the Cindrel Mountain: Sibiel, Orlat, Rasinari. Beautiful landscapes, simplicity and hospitality of the locals, local cuisine and the genuine Romanian traditions are visible everywhere. The tourists feel and taste the charm of the village.
Return to Avrig afor accommodation.
Day 4. AVRIG – JIDVEI Winery- BETHLEN ESTATES or SIGHISOARA

Breakfast. Departure and visit the Jidvei Winery. Jidvei, is a company with a long-standing tradition, which developed continuously. Currently, it has over 2400 hectares producing wine and over 30 wines in the portfolio. The flagship wines for Jidvei are the Romanian white varieties, Feteasca Albă, and especially, Feteasca Regală. Following the French tradition, the story of the winery would not be complete without a”chateau.” In the case of Jidvei, this is the XVI century Castle owned by various noble Hungarians families.
Visit the vineyard and wine tasting tour.
Further on drive to Sighisoara. Accommodation at Bethlen Estates in Danes (near Sighisoara) or in Sighisoara.
The tale of this storied family dates back to the 12th century: the Counts of Bethlen have been politicians, diplomats for hundreds of years. Count Bethlen István was even the prime minister of Hungary. Led by the late Count Miklós Bethlen’s wife and son, Bethlen Estates is a collection of properties in and around the verdant valleys and shimmering lakes of Cris, the family’s ancestorial home. The Bethlens’ aim to channel the funds raised through tourism into the preservation and protection of this idyllic corner of Transylvania.
Day 5. SIGHISOARA- VISCRI – ZABOLA ESTATE or DANIEL CASTLE (Covasna County)

Breakfast. Visit Sighisoara – UNESCO World Heritage Centre, located in the middle of Transilvania. A 12th century citadel built by the Transylvanian Saxons is one of the most preserved, and beautiful medieval citadel in Europa. Sighisoara is the birth place of Dracula. Further, after the visit departure to Covasna County.
En route are Saxon villages certificated in XIII-XIV Century, today protected a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Saschiz, Biertan, Viscri, Crit are few of them. The local Szekler population and later the German colonists built and enlarged the fortified churches to defend against Ottomans and Tartars. Viscri is most famous of all villages in Romania, a small community that retains its authenticity and traditions so much that even King Charles III has an own residence and visits almost every year.


Continue driving to Covasna County. Accommodation in Zabola or Covasna.
Located in Zabala, in a picturesque area 6 km from Covasna, the castle of Count Mikes or Zabola Estate is a true example of the preservation of old identities. The castle park includes 7 historic buildings dating back to the 16th century, lakes and rich and special flora through Carpathian forest. Zabola Estate has fishing posibilities, hiking and horse riding facilities.

Or Daniel Castle in Talisoara: located 50 km from Brasov, „in Secuime” ( Szekler population) with a history of 350 years, the castle was built in Renaissance style in the early 17th century by Mihaly Daniel, deputy captain of Covasna county. The frescoes of the castle became its symbols, and represent political sequences from the life of the Daniel family.
Day 6. ZABOLA ESTATE or DANIEL CASTLE – surroundings

Breakfast. Morning visit King Charles’s private nature retreat on Zalan Valley, the second property in his beloved Romania. The farmhouse has kept its Transylvanian authenticit. Zalán Valley is located among the rolling foothills of the Carpathian Mountain. Small brooks trickle through the valley and cross the property. Some of the most beautiful rich wild flower meadows are located in the direct vicinity of the guesthouse.
In the afternoon Brown Bears Watching (departure approx.18:00). Within Europe’s last truly remaining wilderness still lives one of the planet’s most captivating creatures – Romanian Brown Bears. In the sparsely populated settlements that lie in the shadow of the Carpathian Mountains, the presence of bears is keenly felt. On their quest for food, bears have to descend more frequently from the ancient forests into villages, which ultimately results in conflicts between man and bear.
Return and overnight to Zabola or Covasna.
Day 7. COVASNA County– BRAN – SINAIA- BUCHAREST

Breakfast. Departure to Bran and Sinaia, on „ the Royal Way”.
In Bran visit the famous castle built ( 1377-1388) on a rock, who’s history is closely related to the myth of ”Dracula”. In the center of Romania is a medieval castle believed to have once held Vlad the Impaler prisoner. The infamous Romanian ruler was immortalized as the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel “Dracula”.
Drive to Sinaia. Arrival in Sinaia, one of the most famous mountain resort, called “Pearl of the Carpathians”. Visit the incredible Peles Castle built for the kings of Romania. Nestled at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains in the picturesque town of Sinaia, Peles Castle is a masterpiece of German new-Renaissance architecture, considered by many one of the most stunning castles in Europe. The castle served as the summer residence of the royal family. The residence of the King of Romania benefited from the fine artistic trends of the late 19th century.
Continue driving to Bucharest. Accommodation and overnight in Bucharest.
Day 8. BUCHAREST- AIRPORT
Breakfast. Leisure time. Transfer to airport.
