DAY 1: WELCOME IN ROMANIA!

Arrival in Bucharest. Meeting at the Otopeni airport with your English Speaking guide, Bucharest city tour. Depending on a flight arrival possibility to visit Parliament Palace. Transfer to your 4* hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 2: BUCHAREST-TARGU JIU-DROBETA TURNU SEVERIN (373 KM / 5,5 HRS)

After breakfast departure to Targu Jiu. Visit the Brancusi Monumental Ensemble, created in 1937-1938 by Constantin Brancusi, an influential pioneer of abstract sculpture, considered one of the most influential sculptors of 20th century and a pioneer of modernism. This assembly has been created to commemorate those who died defending the city during the First World War. The ensemble comprises the Endless Column in the Park of the Column, The Table of Silence, the Gate of the Kiss and the benches and the cubes hourglass seats of the Alley of Chairs.

Continuation for Drobeta Turnu Severin, the city’s name was originally linked by historians with the Roman Emperor Severus, a small and beautiful town on the banks of the Danube. Dinner and accommodation 4* hotel.

DAY 3: CRUISE IN THE DANUBE CAULDRONS

DROBETA TURNU SEVERIN-ORSOVA 30 KM (20 MIN)

After morning breakfast, transfer by coach to Orsova for the start cruise in the Danube Cauldrons.

Will be admired: The Tabula Traiana – was erected after the second Daco-Roman War, in honor and commemoration of the victory of Roman troops and recording the suspended road of Trajan, on the territory of Dacia. The statue of Decebalus, king of the Dacians – the largest statue carved in stone, 55m deep and 25 m wide and which cost 1 million dollars. The carving lasted 10 years and was carried out by 12 utility climbers. Mraconia Monastery, Little Cauldrons, Veterani Cave, Big Cauldrons, Dubova Bay. Disembarking in the bay and picking up the bus. Hike on the peak of Ciucarul Mare (10 minutes of climbing the slope then easy walking on the plateau for 1 hour) from where the landscape above the cauldrons takes the breath of any tourist. Here will have a picnic and water included for the entire duration of the day trip. Getting off from the Ciucarul Mare peak (you can meet grazing sheep who will be happy to pet them), getting on the bus and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation 4* hotel.

DAY 4: WINE TASTING

After breakfast visit The Iron Gates Museum – museum of history, art and an aquarium. Transfer for a vineyard for wine tasting and lunch. Back to the hotel. Free time in Drobeta. Dinner and accommodation 4* hotel.

DAY 5: RUDARIA WATER MILLS – FULL DAY – DROBETA TURNU SEVERIN-RUDARIA 100 KM (1,5 HRS); RUDARIA-BAILE HERCULANE 70 KM (1 HR)

After breakfast departure to Rudaria. Sitting like a string of loads along the water course for a length of 3 km, in the village and outside the village, the mills capitalize, in a hydro-energetic and constructive conception that envisages great experience and “engineering” ability, the modest energy potential of the Rudaria River due to an insignificant difference in level. The attraction of these cobbled water mills is given by the legends of each mill, the archaic mode of operation as well as the wild landscape of the area. The milles manage to grind 130-140 kg of flour/24 hrs and are owned by 15-25 “randas” (family that has the right to use the mill at a time interval, which is between 12-24 hrs). Bu the people from Rudaria do not use the mills only to obtain flour, here they also meet to arrange marriages, tell stories and party.

Transfer to Baile Herculane – a very well known resort with mineral waters. Dinner and accommodation 4* hotel, you can relax at the SPA and at the pool.

DAY 6: BAILE HERCULANE – CORVINILOR / HUNYADI CASTLE – HUNEDOARA 180 KM (2,5 HRS)

After breakfast. Departure for Hunedoara. On the route stop for Densus Church – the oldest orthodox stone church in Romania (15th century). Continuation to Corvinilor Castle – a Gothic Renaissance, knows as Hunyadi Castle, considered one of the largest castles in Europe and is features as one of the Seven Wonders of Romania. Dinner and accommodation 4* hotel in Hunedoara.

DAY 7: GIARDINI DI ZOE- TIMISOARA HUNEDOARA-GIARDINI DE ZOE 23 KM (10 MIN) ; GIARDINI DI ZOE-TIMISOARA 160 KM (2 HRS)

After breakfast departure for Timisoara – the European Cultural Capital 2023. Stop for visit the beautiful Giardini di Zoe – hundreds of ornamental trees and shrubs, placed with great care each in its place, artesian fountains, on which the birds of the sky rest, and then delight the visitors with their trills, paths that take you to Heaven, colors that merge into a exquisite way, all this makes you think you have arrived in a fairy tale.

Continuation for Timisoara. Dinner and accommodation 4* hotel.

DAY 8: TIMISOARA

After breakfast Timisoara city tour: Old Town, Liberatii Square, Saint George’s Square, Theresia Bastion, Unirii Square, Timisoara Orthodox Cathedral, Victory Square, the Synagogue, Romanian Revolution Memorial. Free afternoon in Timisoara. Farewell dinner in a local restaurant Old city centre. Accommodation 4* hotel.

DAY 9: Retour to Bucharest

After breakfast, depart to Bucharest at your 4* hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 10: Depart to airport

According to the flight time the programm we’ll be agree with the tourists.
